They give my JK the cleaner JL-style look I wanted and are easier to undo than the stock rubber latches. They stayed on, but the spring-loaded mechanism felt janky and needed a little customization.

Repeat purchase
I bought this antenna twice. It cleans up the Wrangler’s profile without the tall stock whip, and the swap takes about five minutes. I still protect the paint and use the right-size wrench.
