Rough Country front steel grab handles
Why it stayed
Solid, well-positioned handles that stay above my head instead of brushing it. I installed the same part on my 2007 two-door and 2015 four-door.
Install reality
Easy bolt-on job. Position them before final tightening so the handle lands where your hand naturally reaches.
KMFCDAE JL-style replacement hood latches
Why it stayed
They give my JK the cleaner JL-style look I wanted and are easier to undo than the stock rubber latches. The spring mechanism felt janky, so I took it out—they’ve worked great since.
Install reality
Bolting them on was straightforward. The fiddly part was the spring-loaded mechanism: it needed a little customization, and working in that tight area was awkward with bigger hands. I ended up taking the spring out entirely, and they've worked great since.
HWSTAR 7-inch JK LED headlights
Why it stayed
A huge improvement over the famously weak stock lamps. Installation was easy; aiming them correctly is not optional.
Install reality
The connectors were easy. The responsible part is aiming the beam afterward so the upgrade helps you without punishing everyone coming the other way.

I liked it on my first Jeep, so I bought another one for my other JK.
Why it stayed
I liked it on my first Jeep, so I bought another for my other JK. It cleans up the profile without the tall stock whip, and the swap takes about five minutes.
Install reality
About five minutes. Put a towel around the work area and use the right-size wrench so a cosmetic upgrade does not create a cosmetic repair.

Why it stayed
My favorite JK upgrade—I have one in both Jeeps. CarPlay and Android Auto bring modern maps, music, and calls to the older dashboard. The backup camera wiring is the real work.
Install reality
The head unit itself was friendly. Routing and connecting the backup camera is where the job changes from quick swap to actual project.

Do not assume that. Body style, trim, wiring, previous modifications, and listing changes can affect fitment. Match the current listing to your exact year and configuration before buying.
Are JK LED headlights really plug-and-play?
The connectors were easy on the Jeep tested here. The job is not finished until the beam is aimed correctly, and road-use rules should be checked where you live.
